A Different View is the first painting in my most recent series of landscapes, in which I started playing with composition and questioning the standard forms of representation. Here I restricted the area of the landscape by framing it with red. By placing the landscape in a shrinking space it says its importance is lessening as well. Much like humans are eating away nature by urbanizing it, polluting it, and destroying it.
