Industry of the soul

Olga Vujčić – VolgArt (1975) is a contemporary Serbian artist who, through acrylic on canvas and elements of assemblage, develops a distinctive artistic expression based on a fusion of industrial aesthetics, symbolism, and introspective narrative.

In her works, mechanical forms – gears, pipes, ships, and hybrid constructions – transcend their functional nature and become carriers of emotional, psychological, and temporal layers. For her, the industrial motif is not a decorative element but a visual metaphor for internal processes: tension, movement, transformation, duration, and the restoration of balance.

Her painting is characterized by precisely constructed composition, rich symbolism, and layered narrative. Through surreal and associative scenes, she explores the relationship between the external world and internal experience, building a personal visual language in which memory, intuition, and imagination merge into a unique whole.

She has held solo exhibitions, including "Constructions of Inner States" at the House of Đura Jakšić in Belgrade, and "Synesthesia" at the Cultural Center Parobrod in Belgrade.

She has participated in more than twenty group exhibitions, including Black and White World, Infinity, Art Abstract, Mini Form Art, Serbia, Customs and Tradition, Women, and Parallel World.

Her works represent a fusion of inner reflection and visual power, and through an authentic artistic signature, VolgArt builds a recognizable world of symbolic constructions and personal mythologies.

She lives and works in Belgrade.
