This painting comes from my ongoing collection Landscapes in Motion. In this series, I am exploring the relationship of landscapes throughout history up until today. For me, the contemporary landscape is much better represented by cityscapes, streets, their fast and changing rhythm, and lights and motion.

I use oil on canvas because it is the most generous medium in terms of results. I love abstract works but also like when they are connected to something, have a subject of some kind, and are not entirely abstract. That is why I always tend to have my work on the abstract side, to walk the fine line between abstract and realistic.
