Presence

In my painting "Presence", I explore the delicate relationship between solitude and connection. Through a minimalist composition dominated by deep blue tones, I wanted to create a space where silence becomes tangible and absence begins to reveal its own form of presence.

The small illuminated doorway, containing two closely standing figures, serves as a quiet focal point within the vast surrounding darkness. For me, this contrast reflects the way human connection can endure even in moments of isolation, uncertainty, or emotional distance. The architectural grid that fills the composition suggests structure and order, yet it also evokes the invisible boundaries that shape our inner lives.

While creating this work, I reflected on the spaces we inhabit—both physical and emotional—and on how a single moment of closeness can transform an otherwise overwhelming sense of emptiness. "Presence" is a meditation on intimacy, resilience, and the subtle light we find in one another, even when surrounded by silence.
