Product Information
In this series of artistic silhouettes, the subject is not depicted, but erased. Instead of "seeing" the person, we are confronted with the negative space of existence — a body without identity, standing as a membrane between presence and absence.
The visual space of the image becomes a zone of difference: what should be the interior (the psyche, the subject, identity) is instead an external layer — wall, corrosion, rust — showing that we are not defined by what is within us, but by what has been etched into us. Here, it is not about who is portrayed, but about what remains when the face is unseen, when expression and voice disappear.
Through the simple form of the silhouette, these works speak to the essential feeling of the contemporary human: inner silence, anonymity, and the fragility of identity. The surfaces of the paintings, rough and restrained, remind us that beauty does not have to be shiny or clear; it often resides in what is hidden, in what escapes our grasp.
These are not portraits of specific individuals. They are reflections of ourselves — the way we are when we are silent, when we lose ourselves in thought, when we stand before ourselves, unmasked.
