Solitude

At the center of this composition is a solitary boat, yet it does not evoke a sense of abandonment or tragedy. Instead, it symbolizes the human soul in a state of stillness. The boat floats on calm, emerald-green water that perfectly mirrors its form, suggesting the importance of self-reflection—that to know ourselves, our mind must become as still as this water's surface.

The painting largely follows the Eastern philosophy of minimalism and emptiness (Mu or Śūnyatā). The artist deliberately leaves the space "empty" (filled only with mist and water) to emphasize that emptiness is not a lack of something, but a space filled with possibilities.

This painting invites us to slow down. It conveys that in a world constantly demanding movement and action, sometimes the greatest courage and wisdom is simply to be and to rest, surrendered to the currents of life, with trust in the light that awaits us beyond the mist.
