Oto Logo - collection
Biography
Fine artist Oto Jovan Logo was born in Belgrade in 1931. He graduated in 1954 from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
As a sculptor, he presented himself to the art audience for the first time in 1954, at the XVIII ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia) Exhibition and the Exhibition of Sculptures by Young Artists. This was followed by dozens and dozens of exhibitions, both collective and individual. In addition to Belgrade and other cities of the former SFRY, he has held individual exhibitions in Paris, Venice, Liège, Brussels, Zurich, Mannheim, New York, London... His works can be found in galleries and collections worldwide. He also created countless monuments that continue to adorn many cities of the former Yugoslavia. For his sculptural work, he received more than thirty awards, including the City of Belgrade October Award and the ULUS Golden Chisel.
At the beginning of his artistic career, Oto Logo intensively created graphics, and was also very successful in that field. This is evidenced by numerous exhibitions (former Yugoslavia, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Japan...), as well as the ULUS Golden Needle Award, which he received in 1961.
He died in Belgrade in 2016.
