Dichotomy

This work explores the concept of duality within a monochromatic existence. Through strictly defined horizontal bands of blue, the artist maps different levels of consciousness or states of being – from a bright, almost ethereal clarity at the top, to a deep, opaque silence at the bottom.

The central motifs, reminiscent of stylized sails or pendulums, represent human presence reduced to its essential form. The division of these motifs into a white and a dark blue half symbolizes the inevitable struggle of opposites:

Light and Shadow: Every thought and every entity carries within itself its own antithesis.

Stagnation and Movement: Although the forms are anchored by thin, vertical lines suggesting stability, they float in a space that evokes the infinity of water or sky.

The painting poses the question: Do our threads hold us in safety, or do they prevent us from sinking into the depths of our own subconscious?

The minimalist approach offers no definitive answer, but invites the observer to find their own peace in the precision of chaos tamed by geometry. "Dichotomy" is not merely a depiction of forms, but a meditation on the balance we achieve when we accept both sides of our nature.
