"Pavlović Aleksandra bases the organization of the painting on certain, geometric, cleanly divided surfaces. The synthesis of the created forms, minimalism and rationality in the search for relationships that would be balanced in relation to the given composition, are dynamized by the contrasts of warm and cold colors and the sensitivity of nurturing the painting material."

This observation marks the focus of the artist's painterly expression. Her paintings are dominated by architecturally solid shapes, primarily geometric figures of rectangles and squares, which indicate the need for support, shelter and security. These constructivist principles define reality, establish order in the midst of disturbing chaos, and at the same time round out and stabilize thoughts, ideas, and experiences, preventing them from dispersing and weakening.
The surfaces framed in this way are alive, dynamic, they tend to intertwine and reconstruct, and their diversity and layering point to the richness of inner life and psycho-emotional turmoil.The richness of colors, nuances in the intensity and purity of colors, which reveals a wide range of experiences, analyzes and spiritual preoccupations of this artist, also contributes to this impression.
It is in this cut, in the interspace between the need for rationalization and formation, ie shaping and defining one's own experience, on the one hand, and unrestrained sensitivity and life longing, on the other hand, in the tension between solid molds and freedom, as a solution and hope . it always opens a passage to a different world, marked in her works by white windows. That world that stretches behind everything painted, behind the presented phenomenon, is still inconceivable because it is inconceivable, but it is undoubted, known and factual, and it is enchanted by light itself, a symbol of higher meaning and truth.
The thread that binds all the various elements into a single whole, but also transcends them because it symbolizes the eternal continuity of life that survives despite all the turmoil, is indicated by the motif of the lines that stretch along the presented object. The lines break through the world of images superiorly, they do not arise from anything and do not flow into anything, they are unrelated to any specific element of the presented world, they are not interested in human transient experiences. The line is always present, sometimes it is conspicuous, intrusive and aggressive, and somewhere it is shy and inconspicuous, but it is there, it flows and continues and its persistent presence, as well as life itself, cannot be denied.
The search for the space of meaning and the point of balancing the turbulent forces opened the way to religious preoccupations, and they are primarily expressed through painting icons on which Pavlovic, respecting the canon but at the same time intensifying and emphasizing certain aspects of religious performances, providing subjective interpretation of given topics. On the other hand, the vortex of modern society leads her to paint constantly new, very diverse motifs, which makes her painting opus always fresh, diverse and rich.
The period and circumstances in which Aleksandra Pavlović creates give her the opportunity to use techniques and materials that were previously inaccessible to painters, and which the artist uses innovatively in her expression, often combining acrylic and oil painting, which, in addition to all the above, confirms her belonging to modern. painting flows.
