Recycled palette

Acrylic paint dries quickly and is elastic, so when painting with it, the palette is easy to clean—the paint simply peels off the surface like snake skin.Since I have a habit of keeping all sorts of things because they might come in handy for my work, I also stored layers of dried paint in a plastic box. Over time, serious layers accumulated. How could I resist not playing with them?That’s how the little pictures came to be—on their painted canvases, I glued pieces of acrylic that I had previously cut up and combined, without any further painterly intervention.There is something beautiful in those bits from the palette; for me, they are the history of my previous paintings, attempts and searches for the right tone, shade... Accidents in texture and color combinations that surpass my artistic abilities.As in life, only the results are seen: victories or defeats, what we choose to present to the world, while the stories that led to them live in the shadows, modestly bearing the credit without knowledge or recognition.
