Ritual of the Body

Nina is an artist from Serbia. She graduated from an art school in Novi Sad, where she gained a foundation in drawing, composition, color, and visual expression. After completing her education, she continued to develop her artistic language through independent work, the exploration of the human figure, and a contemporary digital-painterly approach.

She has participated in regional group exhibitions in Banja Luka and Sarajevo. Her artistic practice began from a personal need for image, emotion, and inner expression, gradually developing into a recognizable figurative poetics.

In her work, she explores the body, the face, silence, vulnerability, and psychological presence. Her figures often do not have a clearly defined identity; instead, they become symbols of memory, inner states, and emotions that remain inscribed in the body.

Through dark tones, an ochre palette, expressive texture, and a digital-painterly approach, she creates an atmosphere between intimacy, strength, and withdrawal. Her work belongs to contemporary figurative expression, with elements of expressionism, symbolism, and digital art.
