"Do you like Blue" is a part of my newest series of abstract drawings.

For each drawing in this series, I start with "searching" for a shape with a pencil. Lightly tracing shapes on paper until a certain form takes shape and dominates the piece. Once I am satisfied with the created form I clean up the rest of the unnecessary lines and decide on the color and the way I will "fill" the shape.

The form on this one seemed solid and I wanted to color it densely, imprinting the paper with the colored pencils I used. It felt almost visceral.
