Gordana Anđelković – Artist Biography
I was born in 1959 in Zemun, Serbia. I graduated from Zemun Gymnasium and obtained my degree from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade in 1982. Today, I live and work in Niš.
I am a self-taught artist with a deep passion for painting, which began during my university years. Art has always been a fundamental part of my life, alongside poetry, which I also enjoy writing.
My artistic expression is rooted in realism, and I primarily work with oil on canvas. Through my paintings, I aim to capture the beauty of everyday life, human emotions, and nature — paying close attention to detail, light, and atmosphere.
In 2010, I participated as an amateur painter in an art colony held in Bojnik, an experience that further inspired my artistic journey.
Each of my paintings tells a personal story and carries emotional depth, with the intention of bringing warmth and sincerity into the spaces they inhabit.
